General Principles:

  1. Non-Discrimination: BJS Nursery & Primary School does not discriminate against any student on the basis of race, colour, religion, gender, nationality, or disability. Admission decisions are based solely on the merit of each applicant and their ability to benefit from the educational programs offered by the school.
  1. Age Requirements: Children seeking admission to BJS Nursery & Primary School must meet the age requirements set by the relevant educational authorities. The specific age requirements for each grade level can be obtained from the school’s admission office.

Admission Process:


a. Parents or guardians interested in enrolling their child at BJS Primary School must complete and submit an application form. The form can be obtained from the school’s website or the admission office.

b. Along with the application form, parents/guardians must provide the required documents, which may include the child’s birth certificate, previous school records (if applicable), immunization records, and any additional documents specified by the school.


a. Applicants may be required to undergo an assessment to determine their readiness and academic level.

b. The assessment may include a written test, oral interview, and/or observation of the child’s interaction and social skills.

c. Special consideration may be given to applicants with learning difficulties or disabilities, and reasonable accommodations will be provided during the assessment process.

Parent/Guardian Interview:

a. Parents or guardians of shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview with the school’s admission committee.

b. The interview aims to assess the parents’ commitment to their child’s education and their alignment with the school’s values and educational philosophy.

c. The school may also provide an opportunity for parents to ask questions and learn more about the school’s facilities, curriculum, and policies.

Admission Decision:

a. Admission decisions are made by the school’s admission committee, considering the assessment results, interview feedback, and available spaces in each grade level.

b. Priority may be given to siblings of current students, children of staff members, or students transferring from BJS Preschool (if applicable).

c. Once the admission decisions are made, parents/guardians will be notified in writing or through other agreed-upon means.


a. Upon receiving an admission offer, parents/guardians are required to complete the enrollment process within the specified timeframe.

b. The enrollment process includes submitting the necessary enrollment forms, providing the required financial information, and paying the relevant fees.


BJS Nursery & Primary School reserves the right to modify the admission policy in compliance with local regulations and to meet the changing needs of the school and its community.
